And not a star less! This book is really good and the first in its series. So I am really looking forward to what may come next! Plus, may have developed an obsessive crush over Warren Storm. Seriously! This isn't your typical Romance/Supernatural story. So if you are looking for something with a different vibe and is original, you've come to the right place. Great read for a novice!

This is a great book. It covers everything from the pros and cons of varying chicken breeds, to how to care for them from birth to butcher. There is plenty of humor, which I appreciated, and the author is from my state, which was a nice relatable tidbit I found mentioned in the book. I'm taking off a star only because I had hoped for more information about how to feed chickens frugally. Mine are being a bit persnickety and not eating the yummy apples and squash I have been throwing in for them, so I had hoped to find information on how to supplement it. Don't get me wrong - there is PLENTY of information here, I was just looking for something a bit different. The books is broken down into the following chapters:

As with most of Manley's writings, this book is an investigation into various religions and spiritual theories. I bought it because of 2 specific paintings that were printed in the book. Manley's review of Blavatsky is unbiased, informative, and in keeping with her perspectives. Great old book.

Why Bother with A Snappy Title?

My wife and I picked up "The Underachiever's Manifesto" on a whim and read it together over a glass of wine. We're both a little driven, and we laughed aloud at the book's tongue-in-cheek advice about how to let someone else be excellent for a change. From the "blank pages" at the end to the obligatory top ten list to the quiz to determine your Underachiever's Quotient, the Manifesto is a delight. I'd write a longer review, but . . . just buy it and read it. Is that so hard?

Who Needs Therapy?

Get this book instead and save hundreds of dollars. I read this book in about 20 minutes and it changed my attitude completely. I loved it. It's hilarious. I wanted to buy the book in bulk so I can hand them out to my friends. It's the perfect gift for anyone with a sense of humor.

Unsuspectingly Brilliant

I've had this book for well over a year now and it seems to always help me calm down when I'm freaking out from taking on too much or pressuring myself to do too much. We create little prisons in our heads with all the things we "have to" do and be; The Underachiever's Manifesto is like shining a light on a bunch of shadows that weren't even true in the first place. It's like zen concentrate, powerfully packed in a few handsome pages. An absolutely kickass book. I don't often write reviews, but this book barely has any online presence so I wanted to share the fact that I think it's BRILLIANT.

A must-read!

I was never a fan of Mark Webber's when he was racing. In fact I'll go as far as to say that I actually loved to hate him. When the book was released I bought it expecting 400 odd pages of complaining and Vettel bashing. I was looking forward to getting angry and cursing him whilst reading it. I was disappointed. Mark has delivered an insightful, enjoyable and incredibly balanced account of his life in the Formula 1 fast lane. The book is easy to read, keeps the pace up well and you don't need to be a motorsport fan to enjoy it. I opened the book disliking the man with a passion; I closed it with newfound respect and admiration. Well done Mark, you have a new fan.

Fantastic for F1 fans

I’ve been so into non-fiction lately and as well as my love for Formula 1, I thought it would be a good time to make a start on my F1 reading library with Mark Webber’s autobiography – Aussie Grit. Now, Mark Webber is a driver that I didn’t originally know an awful lot about. Aside from his infamous rivalry with ex team-mate, Sebastian Vettel, I pretty much knew bollock all-else about his life so I went into this book with a completely open mind and all I can say is, if you like Formula 1, whether you watched Mark race or not, read it.

Mark Webber is such an endearing character to watch both on and off the track. He’s straight and to the point, doesn’t beat around the bush and his no-nonsense attitude all comes across in his book. The way it’s written, the “webberisms” and despite being ghost-written, you can feel Mark in every page. As autobiographies go, it wasn’t all too serious. He talks about his racing career, home life and relationships but all with the sense of “this was this, that was that, nothing more to it”. Like I said, very straight to the point fella. I liked it.

If you like F1 in any way, shape or form, then this would be a fantastic read. Despite finding it a little hard to follow near the beginning when Mark spoke about his journey to F1 (I won’t lie, I don’t know an awful lot about other racing categories), as soon as he reached F1, I was completely hooked and fascinated by all the “behind the scenes” stuff we, as viewers, don’t usually see or hear. There is so much, so damn much that goes on between a racing team, the personnel and the drivers and not all of it’s pretty. Some parts of this book shocked me and I gotta say how much I feel for Mark throughout parts of his career. But obviously that’s open to opinion, depending on what driver was your favourite.

I’m not lying when I say it made me laugh, cry and smile. He talks about some very real things, some of which we can all relate to because let’s face it, we can’t all relate to a F1 racing career and I loved hearing about Mark the racer and also Mark the person under the helmet. If you loved Mark before, you’ll love him even more after reading this. An absolutely fantastic autobiography; entertaining, eye-opening and brutally honest. An absolute must-read for F1 fans.

Good book. My daughter enjoys the lift the flap style. She has others that she prefers though.

When we were buying books for our little one, we wanted a mix of interactive and "regular" ones for her to read from. The interactive aspect is why we got this book, and it's been great. We've been reading it to her everyday since she was 2-3 months, and around month 6 she started pulling open the tabs that reveal the animals herself and then giving small "ooo!" exclamations. Very cute. The interesting thing I noticed with this book and a couple other interactive ones we have is that her dexterity seemed to improve a little more rapidly once she started turning the pages and opening the tabs. I also like the story line as it is logical/reasonable without being too strange. We also go to the zoo a lot with her, so the book serves to reminder her a bit of the different animals we've seen.

I would recommend this book and will continue to use it.
