I loved this story, with mystery and suspense, a murderer/arsonist, a new romance, making changes in her life and moving forward. The chemistry between Lexa and Jules keeps the pages turning. His dominance to her submission feeds both their desires and fantasies. The plot kept me captivated, the cast of characters were entertaining and the dialog was witty. The steamy romance between Jules and Lexa sizzles on the pages.

This is a action packed fast pace romance The Plot is well written and keeps you turning the pages to see what will happen next The heroine is feisty and sweet and keeps the Hero on his toes The Hero is a strong Alpha male who knows just what is needed The scenes are hot and sexy If you like your stories with suspense sexy scenes and lots of action then you don't want to miss this one

Fizzle instead of sizzle, for me.

The cover and the blurb on this story grabbed me right away, but unfortunately, the story just did not grab me. The premise was intriguing but I found the actual story to be more of a fantasy. The way Lexa and Jules met was somewhat believable, but from there on the events that took place were, in my opinion, very unlikely to happen, especially as quickly as they happened in the story. The story was almost too fast paced. It flowed well from scene to scene but I just could not relate to the characters. I think a little more backstory on them would’ve made them more believable.

I think the author tried to cram too much into a novella. There is a mystery, there is Jules and his BDSM, there is Lexa and her ex-boyfriend, Lexa’s brother and his wife, Jules’ lesbian cousin, Janie and her attraction to Lexa, and finally the romance between Jules and Lexa. There was just too much going on to be fully explored in a novella.

This book is categorized as contemporary romance but It does have snippets of BDSM in it. Both Lexa and Jules are interested in the lifestyle, supposedly Jules has been living as a Dom and Lexa is basically just curious and thinks she would like her boyfriend to dominate her a little. I would rather that part of the story not even be there, it was barely touched on and the scenes where it did come up were in no way erotic. They consisted mainly of Jules spanking Lexa for doing something he didn’t approve of and never dealt with her feelings about it or any kind of aftercare from Jules. If he loved her, it did not come through in those scenes.

The narration may also have had something to do with my inability to connect. I know the story is set in New York but the narrator’s accent was too much for me. It did not bring romance to mind in any way, very flat and unemotional.

This story had a lot of potential but, for me, it fell flat.

This Prep. Kit answers the mail

Last Monday I passed the PMP certification exam. The PMP prep. kit was recommended by a friend. I read the book cover to cover and listened to all the CD's. I then used the summary folder enclosed in the kit to recreate the table listing the 47 processes within the knowledge areas and correlating process groups. It is very important to be able to recreate the inputs, tools and outputs as well. Lastly, make sure you understand and can write down all the EVMS, communication and pert. equations required. I worked hundreds of practice problems until I was proficient enough to take the exam successfully (80% correct).

This is a great study program. You have to be disciplined and make sure you know the material as PMI structures project management before taking the exam. Do not simply rely on your years of experience as a project management. Again, this PMP prep. kit is exceptional and will serve you well. - Matt Crocker

Passed the PMP exam on my first try.

I took the Velociteach, Pass the PMP training class, and this exam prep kit material was used in the class. I read the book, used the Velociteach online training, listened to the CD's, and did all of the practice tests in the book and at velociteach.com. I passed the exam on my first try. If you do all of the necessary exam preparation as described in the prep kit, you have all the tools you need to pass the PMP exam on your first try.

Dont Hesitate and Purchase Now!!!

Shipping details indicated 5 business days and I received this in three (including a weekend), amazing shipping! I am sitting for my exam on December 7th, currently enrolled in formal PMI study group while reading the PMBOK v5 and Rita Mulcaheys PMP Exam prep 8th edition. On a preliminary basis, it appears the Velociteach All in One Exam kit will CRUSH the Rita manual for content in prepping for the exam. Bottom line, there are some people who need additional aides to study (like me) and others who can simply read the PMBOK and pass. I told others yesterday, this Andy Crowe kit is like a PMP Boot Camp rolled into a box where the end-user can read at their leisure (versus 8 hours per day for X amount of days in a Boot Camp) with traditional "fire-hosing" of information.

This kit includes all you need, book, flashcards, six audio CD's, the reference guide (great for your exam brain dump) and online practice exams. I welcome any questions as I pride myself of prudent purchases.

I sincerely believe every person pursuing their PMP should purchase this item, if they're serious about having the three letters PMP after their name. Also, another review listed this as having only 500 MB on the audio CDs, well, to correct him, its actually 743.8 MB

Good book, has good information and tips on mixing and mastering. As a self taught person in the subject of mixing and mastering I felt at times the book is more for intermedium to more advanced levels but I was still able to make sense of the information provided. I recommend the book.

About the Author
Williamson Murray is Professor Emeritus of History at the Ohio State University. He has also been the Centennial Visiting Professor at the London School of Economics, a Secretary of the Navy Fellow at the Navy War College, the Horner Professor of Military Theory at Marine Corps University, and the Harold Johnson Professor of Military History at the Army War College. At present he is a defense consultant and commentator on historical and military subjects in Washington, DC. Murray is co-editor of The Making of Peace (with Jim Lacey), The Past as Prologue (with Richard Hart Sinnreich), The Dynamics of Military Revolution, 1300-2050 (with MacGregor Knox), Military Innovation in the Interwar Period (with Allan R. Millett), and The Making of Strategy (with Alvin Bernstein and MacGregor Knox).

Richard Hart Sinnreich retired from the US Army in 1990. His active service included field artillery commands from battery through division artillery, combat in Vietnam, teaching at West Point and Fort Leavenworth, and assignments on the Army, Joint, and National Security Council staffs, as assistant to the Supreme Allied Commander Europe, and as the first Army Fellow at the Center for Strategic and International Studies. He helped establish and subsequently directed the Army's School of Advanced Military Studies, and has published widely in military and foreign affairs. Since retiring from the Army, he has worked as an independent defense consultant for both commercial clients and government agencies, and as the regular defense columnist for Lawton, Oklahoma's Sunday Constitution.

James Lacey has served more than a dozen years on active duty as an infantry officer and is recently retired from the army reserves. He is a widely published analyst and a Professor of Strategy at the Marine War College in Washington, DC, where he has written several studies on the war in Iraq and on the Global War on Terrorism. He also teaches graduate-level courses in military history and global issues at Johns Hopkins University. Lacey was an embedded journalist with Time magazine during the invasion of Iraq, during which he traveled with the 101st Airborne Division. He has written extensively for many other magazines, and his opinion columns have been published in National Review, the Weekly Standard, the New York Post, the New York Sun, Foreign Affairs and many other publications. He is the author of Takedown: the 3rd Infantry Division's 21-Day Assault on Baghdad, which has been hailed as 'a major and successful effort to fill in one of the major blank spots in our knowledge of Operation Iraqi Freedom'; Pershing (2008); and the forthcoming Keep from All Thoughtful Men (2011) and the co-editor of The Making of Peace (2008).

Outstanding (But This Is A Limited Review)

Note: This is a limited review because I purchased this book specifically for the interwar and WW II period, and do not comment here on the remainder of the book.

This ensemble book consists of essays by six eminent historians well familiar with their subject matter. My interest at this time is limited to the run up to WW II. The chapter entitled "British Grand Strategy, 1933-1942" by Dr Williamson Murray is simply brilliant.

Dr Murray has a rock-solid grasp of what grand strategy is, and the events, issues and British political leadership behaviors of the late interwar period. Equally important, he writes clear and cogent prose--a gift not many university professors can claim.

I particularly recommend reading this chapter to gain a quick and clear understanding of the brutal consequences of an ideological worldview that is unable to process obvious facts. The dangers of spinning world events to meet your worldview are manifest, and history provides examples aplenty.

Clearly essays of this length cannot possibly cover every aspect of grand strategy during the periods covered. Nonetheless, this book--at least the British Grand Strategy chapter--provides a useful and insightful overview with enough detail to satisfy. If you want to dive deeper, footnotes and references provide a wealth of resources for expanded study.

Dr Murray is professor emeritus of history at Ohio State University and has served as the Harold Johnson Professor of Military History at the US Army War College in Carlyle, PA. I have no connection to Dr Murray whatsoever, except as a reader and student of his writing.

I'm less impressed with the chapter on early WW II American grand strategy development, but I'm sure many will find it useful. Skimming the other chapters suggests their quality and clarity is similar to Dr Murray's chapter, but I have not studied them and cannot comment with assurance.

Write with Confidence!

This book is a great reference for those just learning English or native English speakers who occasionally need to check on the exact use of an ampersand, comma or semicolon. The reference is divided in to the following sections: punctuation, capitals/italics/question marks, plurals/possessives/compounds, abbreviations, numbers, grammar/composition, and problems in word usage. I commonly find myself using this reference when typing professional letters, writing stories, or whenever I get confused on the exact use of a particular element of punctuation or style. It's a small book but contains tons of content and enough examples to compliment each section.

A bargain for such a useful tool

For the price you'll pay for this book you can hardly afford not to have it by your side when writing, editing or proofreading. I use it for all three of the aforementioned tasks. While your computer may be constantly connected to the internet, sometimes it's just easier to pick up an actual reference book and find the answer you need.

In the case of this little reference book (just the size of a paperback novel) you'll discover it's easy to lookup your question in the index and then quickly find the information you need. They layout and font face that was used makes this guide read almost like a dictionary. In other words, it is designed for reading short sections and presents the grammar rules in a lean format that is perfect.

I copyedit and proofread educational texts, and I found this guide to be intuitive, easy to navigate, and concise. On the down side, the book has outdated technological references which need to be revised.
